Sustainable Development in Action (SDiA) is an annual event that consists of keynote speeches by national and international sustainability experts and influencers; thematic lectures on current global sustainability issues and their connections to the Sustainable Development Goals; and action labs or workshops, including a startup workshop, a simulation, a scenario workshop, and a design thinking workshop. At SDiA you will receive training and support for developing your own sustainability projects. All action labs focus on specific topics in the field of sustainable development and empower you to take action immediately and in the future.

The SDiA 2018 was organised in cooperation with the Heidelberg Centre for the Environment (HCE). It took place in the city of Heidelberg, Germany, which has won both the European Sustainable City Award and the Global Green City Award, which was the perfect location for our interdisciplinary conference on sustainable development.

The SDiA 2019 will take place in Quito, Ecuador, which was the first city to be declared a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. To read more information about the conference please visit the SDiA Website.
